The United States will send an additional 5,000 troops to Poland

US President Donald Trump announced that the United States will send an additional 5,000 troops to Poland. He wrote this on his social media account, Truth Social.

“Following the successful election of the current President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, whom I proudly supported, and given our excellent relationship with him, I am pleased to announce that the United States will send an additional 5,000 troops to Poland,” Trump said.

This decision was a surprise turn of events. Just a week ago, the Pentagon canceled the planned rotation of approximately 4,000 American troops to Poland amid the withdrawal of some forces from Germany. This new announcement effectively reverses the previous reduction and even increases the American military presence in the country.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki quickly thanked Trump, calling the increased American contingent “an important pillar of security for the entire eastern part of NATO.” Polish authorities have repeatedly stated their readiness to accept additional US forces.

The Pentagon has not yet provided a detailed schedule or location for the additional troops. It is expected that some of the contingent may be redeployed from Germany.
