Italian and other European equipment supplied to producers of Su-34

In 2023–2024, the Turkish company Redwing Metal delivered equipment produced in the European Union to Russia with a total value of nearly 6 million euros. Of this amount, goods worth 3.2 million euros originated from Italy.

The shipments were sent to two Russian metallurgical plants — AMR and SMK — which belong to the family of a deputy director of the Russian state corporation Rostech.Both plants operate in Russia’s defense sector and manufacture metal components used in Sukhoi Su-34 fighter jets and X-101 cruise missiles.

The X-101 is one of the key long-range weapons employed by Russia in strikes on Ukrainian territory, including civilian infrastructure and urban areas.The supplied equipment was manufactured in several EU countries, including Italy, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Croatia, Slovenia, and the Czech Republic.
