Bulgarian Prime Minister threatens to block new EU sanctions package against Russia

Bulgarian Prime Minister Rumen Radev has stated that Bulgaria will block the new EU sanctions package against Russia. The proposed measures target Patriarch Kirill of the Russian Orthodox Church and Vagit Alekperov, former head of the Russian oil company Lukoil.Sofia may carry out this threat during the upcoming meeting of the EU Permanent Representatives Committee (Coreper), scheduled for July.
