Poland warns of Russia’s preparation of new provocations

Poland has credible information that Russia is preparing new provocations, including possible cyberattacks. This was stated by Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski. According to him, making this information public should deter the Kremlin from implementing its plans.

At a joint press conference with the French Foreign Minister on July 9, Sikorski emphasized that Warsaw and its allies possess “reliable information” about Russia’s planned actions.

“The Russians are planning something again. We have credible information,” the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry said. He added that the public warning is intended to prevent these plans from being carried out, like how U.S. intelligence previously helped thwart such intentions.

Sikorski noted that today it is necessary to trust not only Poland but also other countries that confirm the existence of such information. He also recalled the similar rhetoric from the Kremlin before the full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

In recent days, Polish authorities have repeatedly warned of the risks of provocations from Russia, including possible false flag operations. These statements were made amid heightened tensions and accusations against Moscow of waging hybrid warfare against NATO countries.

No official reaction from the Kremlin to Sikorski’s latest statement has been received yet. In Warsaw, they emphasize that Poland, together with its NATO and EU allies, is ready to counter any attempts at destabilization.
