Three Russian сitizens вetained in Warsaw with firearms and ammunition

Warsaw police, in cooperation with the Counter-Terrorism Centre of Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW), detained three Russian nationals of Chechen origin, aged 21, 25 and 42, at an apartment in Warsaw’s Wola district following information concerning their possible involvement in an organised criminal group.

During a search of the apartment, officers found three firearms and ammunition concealed in a wardrobe in the bedroom. The serial numbers had been removed from two of the firearms.

The 42-year-old man was charged with unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition without the required permit. A court ordered his temporary detention for three months. If convicted, he faces between six months and eight years in prison.

Deportation proceedings have been initiated against the 25-year-old man. The 21-year-old was released after being questioned as a witness. One of those detained is MMA fighter Aslambek S.
